This is the new China-made variant of the Cadillac XT4 compact SUV. GM’s luxury or/and sporty brand is currently making only one SUV in China, the XT5, and that is totally suicidal, so the XT4 can’t arrive soon enough.
Badly, it is going to take a while. The Cadillac XT4 won’t hit the market until late into the third quarter. Public debut is expected for the Chengdu Auto Show in September. The XT4 will be manufactured by Shanghai-GM.
Size-wise there are no differences with the rest of the world, GM is not considering a long-wheelbase version for the XT4 for China. Power will come from a 2.0 turbo with 234 hp, mated to a nine-speed DCT.
