Aiways is a new EV brand from China. The ION U5 is their first production car; a nice looking mid-size crossover. It debuted last year as a semi-concept, and the production car looks largely the same.

Power comes from an electric motor with 190 hp and 350 Nm, mated to a 63 kWh battery pack. Range will be 460 kilometers NEDC, according to Aiways.

The company will offer an additional battery pack that can be installed separately for long journeys, this extra pack will add 100 kilometers to the range. Size: 4680/1865/1700, wheelbase is 2800.

The Aiways U5 ION will be launched on the Chinese car market in the second half of the year.
