This is the Wuling Xingchi, a crossover SUV. The Xingchi is expected to officially launch at the end of September. Users can now place a reservation through the LING Club APP, Tmall, and JD.com for only 9.9 RMB (1.45 USD) and enjoy 2,000 RMB (285 USD) off of the car purchase.
The Wuling Xingchi is manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGWM), a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Liuzhou Wuling Motors. The joint venture was established in 2002 and started the business by selling minivans and minibusses under the Wuling brand.
The Xingchi is positioned as Wuling’s first youth car targeting the young consumer group and the fourth model of the Wuling Silver Label. The size of the car is 4365/1750/1640 mm with a 2550mm wheelbase. The luggage compartment volume is 322 liters.
The front face adopts a trapezoidal V-shaped grille design that echoes the brand’s v-shaped ‘5-diamond’ logo. The black roof also comes with a luggage rack.
The dual exhaust tips and a rear air diffuser further enhance the sportiness of the car.
The interior is equipped with a 10.25-inch floating central control screen, a 3.5-inch instrument panel, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The central control screen comes with the Ling OS System and supports functions such as voice interaction, remote control, and OTA update.
Furthermore, the black interior is decorated with yellow details.
The Xingchi has two engine options: 1.5L MT/CVT naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5T CVT turbocharged engine. 1.5L: maximum power of 73kW and fuel consumption of 6.43L/100km. 1.5T: maximum power of 108kW and peak torque of 250Nm. Its 0 – 100km/h acceleration time is 8.7 seconds.
