Xpeng recently made an exciting announcement about its latest model, the Xpeng G6. Within 72 hours of opening its pre-sales on June 9, 2023, the company received more than 25,000 pre-orders for the vehicle. With a starting price of 225,000 yuan (31,500 USD), the Xpeng G6 is set to be officially launched on June 29, with deliveries scheduled for July.

Positioned as a medium-sized pure electric coupe SUV, the Xpeng G6 is built on Xpeng’s “Fuyao” architecture. One of its standout features is the support for 800V fast charging, enabling drivers to increase the battery life by 300 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging.

The vehicle offers two power options: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The two-wheel drive version boasts a maximum power of 218 kW (292 hp) and a peak torque of 440 Nm, while the four-wheel drive version provides a combined power of 358 kW (480 hp) and a combined torque of 660 Nm. The Xpeng G6 is equipped with dual lidar and features second-generation XNGP technology.

Regarding its dimensions, the Xpeng G6 is a mid-size SUV coupe designed to compete with the Tesla Model Y. Xiaopeng G6 provides six colors gray, silvery, white, orange, cyan, and blue. It measures 4753/1920/1650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2890 mm. Notably, it is slightly longer by 3 mm, narrower by 58 mm, and taller by 26 mm compared to Tesla Model Y.

The vehicle offers two powertrain options: a rear-wheel drive (RWD) version with 218 kW (292 hp)and a four-wheel drive (4WD) version with 358 kW (480 hp). Reports suggest that the G6 will come with two battery options: a 66 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and an 87.5 kWh ternary (NMC) battery. The RWD version with the larger battery has an impressive range of up to 755 kilometers on a single charge, per Chinese Long-Term Test Cycle (CLTC) standards.
