Following the release of the new Haval H5 official images, Great Wall Motors (GWM) recently released the official images of the new car’s interior.

Inside, the interior is covered in a large area of plastic and decorated with chrome-plated trims. The seats are wrapped in brown leather and have stitchings. Both the instrument panel and the 12.3-inch central control screen adopt the floating style. Below the central control screen is a hexagonal air-conditioning outlet. The air-conditioning control area also retains a large number of physical buttons. The overall design is relatively moderate.

With a wheelbase of 3140mm and a car width of 1905mm, it is no doubt that the interior has an ample amount of space.

In addition to the spacious rooms, passengers in the second row have access to independent air-conditioning outlets and three headrests. The rear seats also support multi-angle adjustments of 27° and 31°. The large 0.8 square meter panoramic sunroof further enhances the spaciousness of the car. Since the car only has two rows, it is expected to have a voluminous truck space.

Haval H5 Overview

With a size of 5190/1905/1835mm, a wheelbase of 3140mm, and a curb weight of 2120 kg, the new Haval H5 is the largest SUV in the history of GWM thus far. Power will come from a 2.0T gasoline engine that outputs 122 kW or a 2.0T diesel engine that outputs 145 kW or 165 kW, mated to a 6-speed manual. It might be equipped with a four-wheel drive system to strengthen the car’s hard-core vibe. In addition, Haval H5 might also have a hybrid version for consumers to choose from powered by GWM’s Hi4 PHEV system. The price is expected to be in the 120,000 – 150,000 yuan (16,600 – 20,700 USD) range and will launch later this year.
