The Livan 7’s exterior adopts the latest family design, with a penetrating LED light strip and split headlights at the front. The new car’s closed front grille makes its overall visual effect more concise and is more in line with the current popular design style of electric vehicles (EV). The new car is also provided with LiDAR options.

The penetrating tail lights at the rear part of the car look simple. Its internal part has a light two-color structure. The lines on the trunk are relatively straight. The roof part of the car has a subtle, small tail, while the large black decorations on the rear bar part blend in with the overall style of the EV.

The car started pre-sales last month. The orders can be made for a 700 yuan (96 USD) deposit. The manufacturer offers 1-year insurance service, a lifetime warranty on the drive system, and many other perks. It is available in four versions. Two versions offer 450 km, and two other 650 km range. One of the 450 km range versions carries a 120 kW, and three others a 180 kW electric motor.

Livan 7 carries Geely’s self-developed 7nm cockpit chip, Dragon Eagle 1. The interior offers a 2.5K 15.4-inch center control screen, a 9.2-inch LED digital instrument panel as well as a 50-inch AR-HUD. The car also carries the Sprint Polytron M series LiDAR, five 4D millimeter-wave radars and several ultrasonic radars.

The buyers of the electric coupe SUV will be able to choose between a 50.4 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) and a 68.03 kWh ternary battery pack. Both packs are manufactured by the Hefei battery maker, Gotion. In a fast charging mode, the batteries need 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% of the capacity.

The car will be based on the GBRC (Global Battery Rapid Change) crystal architecture designed jointly by Geely and Lifan, which supports battery swap in under one minute, 30-minute fast charging, 7 kW home charging, and 2 kW slow charging.

The SUV will be built on a 4690/1892/1650 mm chassis that sits on a 2775 mm wheelbase. With the One-Box linear control system, the braking distance of the coupe SUV at 100 km/h is shortened to 35.8m for 100km. The rear-wheel drive layout enables the turning circle radius to reach 5.4m. The suspension of the car uses a MacPherson suspension in the front and a five-link suspension in the back.

The coupe SUV was first presented in 2022 at Chongqing Auto Show as a concept. The next year it made a debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. Last month, it started pre-sales.
