This is Geely’s Xingrui L sedan, the HEV version of the current Xingrui sedan. Xingrui is known as Preface in English. Currently, Geely Xingrui is available in 1.5TD and 2.0TD engine configurations on the market, with a price range of 108,700 – 145,700 yuan (14,900 – 19,900 USD). It is expected that the starting price of the Xingrui L will be around 120,000 yuan (16,400 USD).

The Xingrui is a mid-size sedan produced by Geely for China since 2020 based on the CMA architecture. According to Geely, the “L” in Xingrui L stands for Luxury, Liberate, Liquid, and Less. Compared with the current models, the length and width of the Xingrui L are slightly increased, while the wheelbase remains unchanged, measuring 4825/1880/1469mm with a 2800mm wheelbase.

In terms of appearance, Xingrui L remains largely the same with minor adjustments. The front face continues to use vertical chrome trim strips to decorate the grille, but the number of trim strips has been reduced. The Geely logo on the grille is upgraded to a white background. The rear adopts the through-type taillight design.

The interior adopts a dual-color scheme composed of white and purple, giving off a refreshing warm vibe. Under the minimalist design, there is a narrow rectangular 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a flat-bottom four-spoke steering wheel, hidden air-conditioning outlets, and a vertical central control screen. Most of the original physical button functions are integrated into the central control screen.

The HEV powertrain consists of an electric motor and the same 1.5T four-cylinder engine codenamed BHE15-BFZ as the Geely Galaxy L7 SUV, with a maximum power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 255 Nm, according to the Chinese MIIT. Additionally, the declared information stated that the new car does not support charging, so it is not expected to be a plug-in hybrid system. At this time, other powertrain specifications and performance parameters have not been revealed, we will watch closely for more details.

From January to August this year, 69,451 units of Geely Xingrui were sold, with 10,345 units sold in August, ranking 11th in monthly sedan sales and 15th in cumulative sales.
