Dongfeng Nammi 01 EV launched with 330 km and 430 km ranges, price starts at 10,400 USD

On January 7, Dongfeng launched its Nammi 01 EV with a price range of 74,800 – 104,800 yuan (10,400 – 14,600 USD), which is lower than the pre-sale price by 5000 yuan. Consumers can choose from a total of six models. Nammi is a new energy vehicle brand under Dongfeng that focuses on compact electric vehicles.

The 01 is Nammi’s first model, built on the Dongfeng Quantum Architecture S3 platform.

It is worth mentioning that the first batch of the Dongfeng Nammi 01 rolled off the production line in China on January 6.

Positioned as a compact EV, the Dongfeng Nammi 01 measures 4030/1810/1570 mm, with a 2660 mm wheelbase. It can seat 5 people as the standard layout.

The new car is available in five exterior body colors, namely, yellow, white, blue, white + yellow, and white + blue; paired with standard 16-inch or optional 17-inch rims and tire specification of 215/60 R16.

At first glance, the Dongfeng Nammi 01 looks round. The front face adopts a closed grille design, coupled with triangular headlights on both sides. Other notable elements include the hidden door handles, frameless doors, a suspended roof design, and round taillights.

The interior is available in two color schemes: black & white and black & gray. The cockpit is equipped with a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a 12.8-inch floating central control screen that supports mobile remote control, OTA updates, and intelligent voice control.

At the same time, level 2 advanced driving assistance functionalities are not absent, including blind spot monitoring, autonomous parking, remote parking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.

Other configurations include 32-color ambient lighting, mobile phone wireless charging, a pull-out drawer under the glovebox, and a one-click lie-flat mode for the front seats.

Power comes from a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 70 kW and 160 Nm. The vehicle has a top speed of 140 km/h.

Furthermore, its 31.45 kWh and 42.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs provide corresponding CLTC cruising ranges of 330 km and 430 km, respectively. Both DC fast charging and AC slow charging are supported. Under DC fast charging mode, the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes or recharge up to 200 km in 8 minutes.
