Huawei-Seres JV’s new Aito M7 received more than 130,000 firm orders four months after launch

Since its launch on September 2023, the new Aito M7 SUV firm orders exceeded 15,000 units in 24 hours, 30,000 units in 18 days, 60,000 units in one month, 100,000 units in two and a half months, and now it has exceeded 130,000 units in four months. Five models are currently on sale with a price range of 249,800 – 329,800 yuan (34,200 – 45,200 USD).

At the Aito M9 launch conference held on December 26, 2023, the carmaker announced that the monthly delivery capacity of Aito’s new M7 will reach 30,000 units starting from January 2024.

The Aito M7 is powered by a 1.5T range-extender hybrid system, an electric motor supplied by Huawei, and a 40 kWh ternary lithium battery pack supplied by CATL. The top speed is 190 km/h. Both fast and slow charging are supported. It takes 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% under fast charging and takes five hours to charge from 20% to 90% under slow charging.

Rear-wheel drive

  • 200 kW/360 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor
  • 240 km pure electric cruising range (CLTC)

  • 7.8 seconds of 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time

Four-wheel drive

  • 130 kW/300 Nm and 200kW/360 Nm front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors
  • 210 km pure electric cruising range (CLTC)
  • 1250 km comprehensive range (CLTC)
  • 4.8 seconds of 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time

Five exterior body colors are offered, namely, black, dark green, silver, blue, and gray. Available in five- and six-seater layouts, the new Aito M7 measures 5020/1945/1760 mm, with a 2820 mm wheelbase.

The standard trunk depth is 1,100 mm with a volume of 686 liters, which can accommodate twelve 20-inch suitcases at the same time.

The cockpit is powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS operating system. Most of the functions are integrated into the 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and 15.6-inch central control screen. The audio system comes from Huawei Sound.

At the same time, Huawei’s ADS 2.0 advanced driving system is also not absent, which is realized via 27 sensors throughout the entire vehicle, equipped with one roof lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The capabilities include blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, etc.
