Wuling Starlight EV sedan pre-sale starts at 15,100 USD

On April 11, Wuling opened its Starlight pure electric model for pre-sales, available in two versions, priced at 109,800 yuan (15,100 USD) and 119,800 yuan (16,600 USD), respectively. The new car will be officially launched at the Beijing Auto Show later this month.

It is worth pointing out that since the Wuling Starlight PHEV version was launched in December 2023, its cumulative sales have reached 50,888 units.

Built based on the Tianyu EV architecture, this platform is compatible with EV, PHEV, HEV, and EREV, with a size range covering 4600 mm – 5000 mm.

The overall design continues that of the Starlight PHEV version, except that the front face adopts a closed design and the LED daytime running lights have been changed to an “L” shape. The sides and rear remain the same.

The size of the Wuling Starlight EV is 4835/1860/1515 mm, with a 2800 mm wheelbase. Running on 18-inch rims, its drag coefficient is 0.228Cd. Power comes from a single 100 kW electric motor, paired with 41.9 kWh or 54.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, offering a CLTC range of 410 km and 510 km, respectively. The top speed is 150 km/h.

Consumers can choose from four exterior colors: Star Flame Red, Star Sand Gray, Star Curtain Black, and Star Sparkle Gold.

Inside, the cockpit is equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, a 10.1-inch central control screen (low-end models)/15.6-inch central control screen (high-end models), and a D-shape steering wheel. Other configurations include apps such as iQiyi and QQ Music, a 6-way electronically adjustable driver seat, USB charging ports, and ISOFIX child safety seat interface. Furthermore, there are 14 storage spaces throughout the car as well as a 540 L trunk, which can accommodate two 24-inch and four 20-inch suitcases.
