Xpeng plans to officially launch its model Xpeng G6 in the Australian market in the fourth quarter of 2024. The Xpeng G6, based on the SEPA 2.0 “global intelligent evolution” architecture, is the company’s first globally oriented model designed for both left-hand and right-hand drive markets. The right-hand drive version of the Xpeng G6 has already been introduced in countries such as Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, with deliveries expected to begin later this year.

Earlier this year in February, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of Xpeng, stated that 2024 would be the first year of “Xpeng internationalization 2.0.” The company aims to forge a new path for global expansion by focusing on product development, intelligent driving, and brand building. Since the start of 2024, Xpeng has been accelerating its overseas expansion strategy, targeting markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Germany. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, Xpengs cumulative export sales accounted for 61.8% of its total export volume in 2023.

According to official information, Xpeng has already announced dealership partnerships in regions including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Xpeng stated that its international expansion is gaining momentum with breakthroughs in regional markets. In the future, the company will continue to establish a presence in key regions such as Europe, ASEAN, the Middle East, Latin America, and Oceania. Xpeng aims to create a new path for the global expansion of Chinese smart electric vehicles, focusing on product innovation, intelligent driving technologies, and brand development.
