The Xpeng modular flying car (Land Aircraft Carrier) got over 3,000 orders before the presales started. What is more, there is no factory to manufacture these vehicles yet. Its trial production will start only in July 2025. It makes the Xpeng’s result even more impressive.
Xpeng AeroHT announced that their Land Aircraft Carrier received over 3,000 intended purchase orders after the presentation. The cumulative reservation order number is over 1,000 units. Interestingly, the official pre-sales of the Xpeng Land Aircraft Carrier will kick off later this year. This is a decent number for a car with an approximate price of 2 million yuan (280,000 USD).
Xpeng AeroHT disclosed that it completed cooperation contracts with over 70 flight camps to build an ecosystem for flying cars. The company mentioned that it will provide users with a full range of flight operation solutions in the future. These will include flight support, user service, and car purchase. Xpeng AeroHT also mentioned that it will select partners for user flight training and for manufacturing flying cars.

We can see the Xpeng Land Aircraft Carrier attracts a lot of attention from car enthusiasts all over the world. The previous article about this model started a heated discussion here at CarNewsChina. However, we aren’t sure this project has a bright future because it faces two major problems: an absence of proper laws and a narrow market niche for this kind of vehicle. However, we still hope it will become a successful project with a high return on investment rate.
