This is the 2025 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. Five trims were launched with a price range of 119,900 – 153,900 yuan (16,900 – 21,700 USD), including three 1.6T power and two 2.0T power trims. As an annual facelift model, the 2025 Tiggo 8 Pro canceled the 2.0T AWD trim. All 2025 models are FWD. The entry-level trim price is 7,000 yuan (990 USD) less than that of the 2024 model.
Currently, the Chery Tiggo 8 series is comprised of the Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 8 Plus, Tiggo 8 Plus Champion Edition, Tiggo 8 Plus C-DM, Tiggo 8L, Tiggo 8 Honor Edition, and Tiggo 8 Special Edition.
For the exterior, the appearance remains unchanged. The length, width, and height of the body are still 4745/1860/1745 mm, the wheelbase is 2710 mm. Both the 2+3 five-seater and 2+3+2 seven-seater cabin layouts are retained. The trunk volume range is 889 L to 1930 L for the five-seater and 193 L to 1930 L for the seven-seater. Four exterior paints are available: grey, white, black, and jade.
Two engine options are offered: 145 kW (194 hp)/290 Nm 1.6TGDI and 187 kW (251 hp)/390 Nm 2.0TGDI engines, mated to 7DCT or 8AT. The 8AT is newly added. The comprehensive fuel consumptions per 100 km are 7.1 L, 7.49 L, and 7.52 L. The new car continues to run on 18-inch (235/55 R18) or 19-inch (235/50 R19) tires.
Inside, the cockpit continues to be equipped with a D-shaped multi-function steering wheel and a 24.6-inch integrated screen composed of the instrument panel and central control screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.
The functional configurations have been upgraded, including the standard fatigue monitoring & reminder function, front side airbags, and front + rear head airbags for the entire series. The number of external cameras has increased from one to four. Additionally, the one-touch lowering & rolling up of all car windows, electric folding/heating of side mirrors, electric adjustment of the driver seat, and ambient lighting have been added.
Other configurations for the five trims include a combination of a panoramic sunroof (with electric sunshade), level 2.5 advanced driving assistance capabilities, 50 W mobile phone wireless charging, a Sony 8-speaker audio system, a W-HUD, smart voice assistant, mobile phone remote control, WiFi hotspot, and one-button start/keyless entry.
In August, the Tiggo 8 series sold 13,430 vehicles, a 21.11% year-on-year and 2.22% month-on-month increase, accounting for 25.16% of Chery’s sales volume and ranking 16th in SUV sales. From January to August 2024, the cumulative sales is 100,542 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 20.84%, ranking 13th in SUV sales.
