Great Wall has resurrected the H7 name for a new Haval model. The H7 name was last used a few years ago and is now being used for a new mid to large-sized SUV, which currently appears to be a PHEV only.
Thanks to a regulatory filing from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), we know a lot more about this new model from GWM. It has dimensions of 4780, 1895, and 1725 mm, and the wheelbase is 2810 mm. The curb weight is 2075 kg, and the car rides on 19-inch wheels. We also know that the car is a 5-seater.
Power for the H7 comes from a GW4B15H engine, a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine providing up to 85KW of power. No details are mentioned about the electric motor in the listing; however, it is said that the batteries will be lithium iron phosphate provided by Great Wall subsidiary SVolt. Great Wall refers to its PHEV system as Hi4, as can be seen on the badge at the rear of the car.
The car’s top speed is 180 km/h, and its angles of approach and departure are 20 and 23 degrees, respectively.
Options include an opening or non-opening panoramic roof and a choice of four different styles of wheels.
The car is likely to launch either late this year or early next year. It appears that the Havel H7 is either the new name of the facelifted Haval Xiaolong Max or a new car heavily based on Xiaolong Max. If this is the case, then there are two electric motors: a 150 kW motor with 350 Nm of torque on the rear axle and a 70 kW motor with 100 Nm of torque on the front axle. The system’s combined power is 205 kW and 585 Nm of torque.
It should be noted that the current Xiaolong Max has a 19.3 kWh battery capacity.
