Jetour Shanhai T1 off-road PHEV entered market starting at 21,700 USD

On October 27, Chery’s Jetour Shanhai T1 plug-in hybrid off-road SUV officially entered the market, with a price range 154,800 – 174,800 yuan (21,700 – 24,600 USD) and a 150 km CLTC pure electric range:

The Jetour Shanhai is an off-road vehicle series, covering urban off-road SUV, hard-core off-road SUV, and pickup trucks. Currently, the series sells the T2, L6 (see spec here), L7, and L9 (see spec here).

Overall, the Jetour Shanhai T1 adopts a boxy shape, featuring thick bumpers, square exterior mirrors, large rims and thick tires, blalckened wheel eyebrows and side pedals, and roof racks. Both the headlights and taillights use the same design elements. The car runs on either 235/60 R18 or 235/60 R19 tires. Six driving modes are supported: HEV, EV, normal, eco, sports, and snow.

The length, width, and height of the Jetour Shanhai T1 are 4706/1967/1845 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2810 mm. Its approach angle is 28°, departure angle is 29°, minimum ground clearance is 200 mm, curb weight is 2,000 kg, and towing capacity is 1,600 kg.

The Jetour Shanhai T1 is still powered by Chery’s Kunpeng super-performance electric hybrid C-DM system consisting of a 150 kW (201 hp)/310 Nm front permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 115 kW (154 hp)/220 Nm 1.5T hybrid engine, mated to an 1DHT. Its 26.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack offers a 150 km CLTC pure electric cruising range. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 1.08L/100km and the comprehensive range is 1,300 km under a full tank and full charge, although it still needs to be confirmed officially. Additionally, the fast charging from 30% to 80% is 30 minutes and the slow charging time is 4 hours.

The interior incorporates some off-road SUV elements including the handle in front of the co-pilot. The standard interior color is black/gray with optional black/orange and black/green colors to choose from.

There is a wide flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, and a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch central control screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Under the central control screen are physical buttons for vehicle function controls. Only the top trim supports 50W wireless charging for mobile phone and an optional onboard refrigerator.
