On November 15, GAC Trumpchi S7 five-seater SUV made its debut at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show. Official launch will be in the first half of next year. The Trumpchi S7 boasts a 2.6-meter light strip, and the third-gen PHEV system with 4WD and over 1,000 km of mixed range.
Trumpchi is a passenger car brand under GAC Group. It focuses on manufacturing petrol and plug-in hybrid cars. As Chinese car industry makes a major switch towards new energy, Trumpchi introduces the new generation of its PHEVs. The S7 crossover is the first model of this series.

In the front, the Trumpchi S7 is equipped with a 2.618-meter long light strip, manufactured via two-color injection molding. It cots of 2,248 LED elements. The “AI emotional headlights” can preset eight light languages, and the driver can customize the light language according to the situation and mood.
At the rear, it adopts taillights inspired by the aurora borealis in Mohe, Heilongjiang Province, according to the official. The GAC Trumpchi S7 adopts hidden door handles, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, and slanted D-pillars.
The height of the Trumpchi S7 reaches 1,780 mm. The ground clearance of this car is 200 mm. GAC officials mentioned this vehicle will offer 4WD as it stands on the brand’s lates EV+ modular architecture. Its powertrain stands on the GAC’s third-gen PHEV system. As a result, the Trumpchi S7 can run over 1,000 km in a hybrid mode.
Another feature of the GAC Trumpchi S7 is the L2++ autonomous driving system. It supports the Navigation On Autopilot without HD maps. It means the AD sytem of the Trumpchi S7 can work in any part of China. The Snapdragon 8295 SOC from Qualcomm powers the infotainment system of the Trumpchi S7.
The GAC Trumpchi S7 will enter the Chinese market in the first half of 2025. Its price range has yet to be revealed.
