Lynk & Co 900 PHEV crossover revealed 280 km range and 4C charging tech

The Lynk & Co 900 flagship plug-in hybrid crossover was revealed in China with a Freevoy 52.38 kWh battery pack from CATL. It has 280 km of electric range under CLTC conditions. Moreover, the car can charge from 20 to 80% in 17 minutes. This month, the Lynk & Co 900 will enter the domestic market.

The Lynk & Co 900 is the brand’s flagship SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It was first revealed in China in January 2025. This large model will enter the market this month. Previously, it was revealed that the Lynk & Co 900 has up to 630 kW (845 hp). Moreover, it is the first mass-produced vehicle with the Nvidia Drive Thor SoC with a computing power of 1,000 TOPS.

Lynk & Co 900 battery specs

The Lynk & Co 900 is the brand’s first vehicle to adopt the Freevoy sodium-containing battery from CATL. It is the ternary NMC pack with a capacity of 52.38 kWh. On a full charge, the Lynk & Co 900 can run up to 280 km under CLTC conditions. The Freevoy battery supports the 4C charging technology. It means the charging speed is four times the capacity. As a result, the Lynk & Co 900 charges from 20 to 80% in 17 minutes.

The Freevoy battery was developed specifically for plug-in hybrid vehicles to provide a “BEV-like” experience. It includes a “nanoscale protective layer” and uses high-activity excited state particle technology in the cathode material, supporting multi-level power control. The battery also integrates sodium-ion technology, enabling it to discharge in extremely cold temperatures to -40°C and charge in conditions as low as -30°C.

Thanks to a petrol engine under the hood, the Lynk & Co 900 has a mixed range of 1,443 km. We will remind you that this crossover has three powertrain variants. The entry-level Lynk & Co 900 has a 1.5-liter engine paired with two electric motors. The combined power output of the system is 530 kW (711 hp). The second modification offers a 2-liter ICE with two e-motors for 540 kW (724 hp).

The top-trim Lynk & Co 900 adopts a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and three electric motors (one in the front axle and two in the rear). The combined peak power output of the system reaches 630 kW (845 hp). As a result, the massive Lynk & Co 900 speeds up to 100 km/h in four seconds.
