The updated Nio ES6 electric crossover with a swappable battery revealed its interior in China. The new car has a horizontally aligned touchscreen and a gear shifter behind the steering wheel. The dated Nio ES6 will soon enter the domestic market. Later, it can possibly launch in Europe as a refreshed EL6.
The exterior of the updated Nio ES6 was previously exposed in China. The refreshed vehicle got a new front end with a bigger air intake, adjusted headlights, and DRLs. Now, the interior of the ES6 was exposed in spy shots. It will enter the market in Q2 this year.
Spy shots of the updated Nio ES6 revealed visible design adjustments. The car’s center console has a large horizontally aligned screen instead of the portrait-oriented monitor of the current model. The gear shifter of the ES6 moved to the steering column. This change helped to free enough space for two 50W air-cooled wireless phone charging pads. The car also has a spacious compartment under the center tunnel.
The updated Nio ES6 has the same three-spoke steering wheel, a rectangular LCD instrument cluster, and a Nomi voice assistant. Another highlight of the vehicle is ambient lighting. Similar to the current model, the updated ES6 has no conventional glove box. The car also boasts a black ceiling and pillars. Seats, steering wheel, and door cards are finished in brown.
The core specs of the updated Nio ES6 will remain the same. We will remind you that the current SUV offers dimensions of 4854/1995/1703 mm with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. Its powertrain comprises two electric motors with a peak power of 360 kW (483 hp). The car speeds up to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The Nio ES6 has two battery options: 75 kWh for 500 km of CLTC range and 100 kWh for 625 km of range. Similar to other Nio vehicles, it supports the battery swap technology.
The Nio ES6 costs 338,000 – 396,000 yuan (46,480 – 54,460 USD) in China. The updated ES6 will enter China in Q2 this year. Later, it could hit Europe as the current model year car sells here under the EL6 name.
