In a social media post from Xiaomi last night, “As CEO Lei Jun mentioned during the debut event, the Xiaomi YU7 is positioned as a “luxury high-performance SUV.” In addition to the four already revealed, five more colour options will be released soon. Each one is a timeless classic—stay tuned for more!” Spied images of the Xiaomi YU7 in a previously unseen purple finish have appeared online, providing an early look at the production model before its scheduled July launch.

At the front, the YU7 retains Xiaomi’s closed grille design with a silver emblem on the hood. The bumper includes triangular air inlets and body-coloured trim, while the headlights incorporate air channels that connect to the hood and offer a 180-degree illumination range.

The side view shows a fastback roofline ending in a rear section fitted with C-shaped LED taillights covered by transparent housing. The dimensions are 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The purple version features white stripes and semi-enclosed alloy wheels with body-coloured elements.

All variants of the YU7 use Xiaomi’s V6s Plus electric motor. This motor applies segmented magnetic steel technology, which involves dividing the magnetic steel into smaller sections to reduce energy loss and improve efficiency. The system also includes upgraded power modules and a revised topology optimisation algorithm, resulting in speed, torque, and output improvements.

The motor’s output varies by model. The rear-wheel-drive base YU7 delivers 235 kW and 528 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.88 seconds. It uses a 96.3 kWh battery with a CLTC-rated range of 835 km.

The YU7 Pro uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout, producing 365 kW and 690 Nm. This version accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.27 seconds and has a range of 770 km.

The YU7 Max features a high-output version of the rear motor, rated at 288 kW and 528 Nm. Combined with a front motor, the total output reaches 508 kW and 866 Nm. This version accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds, reaches a top speed of 253 km/h and is powered by a 101.7 kWh battery offering 760 km of range.

The YU7 series uses Nvidia’s Thor platform, capable of 700 TOPS computing performance, for its driver assistance system. Each variant includes one LiDAR unit, a 4D millimetre-wave radar, eleven high-definition cameras, and twelve ultrasonic sensors.

Inside, the YU7 replaces the SU7’s flip-up instrument cluster with a fixed panoramic display system. A large central screen shows gear status and range, while the centre console has been restructured with horizontally placed cup holders and dual wireless charging pads.

The front seats offer reclining and massage functions with preset position controls. The rear seats recline to 135 degrees and include a 6.68-inch touchscreen for climate and media adjustments. Additional features include a small refrigerator and split-folding rear seats.
