Spy shots of the Denza Z production version have surfaced online, revealing a design that closely mirrors its concept unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. While an official launch date remains under wraps, the images provide a clear look at the upcoming model, which resembles the Porsche 911, particularly from the side profile.

The Denza Z production model largely retains the concept’s “Pure Emotion” design language, featuring a rounded front end and highly recognizable headlights. However, the front bumper has been subtly revised, with black decorative elements now arranged in a trapezoidal layout, a departure from the inverted trapezoid seen on the concept.

From the side, the Denza Z production version showcases frameless window trim and retains the air ducts for both front and rear wheels. The side mirrors are positioned on the doors, and the vehicle incorporates hidden door handles. A side-view camera appears to be integrated into the front fender. The overall side profile has drawn comparisons to the Porsche 911. The production model is equipped with twin five-spoke wheels, which appear slightly smaller than those on the concept.

At the rear, the Denza Z production version maintains the dual-diamond element taillight design. The rear bumper has been redesigned, resulting in a more integrated visual appearance, though it may offer slightly less aerodynamic efficiency than the concept. Notably, the fixed rear wing seen on the concept is absent from the production version. It is currently unclear whether this feature will be offered as part of a special edition or as an optional extra.

The pure electric sports car market currently exhibits a polarised pricing structure. High-end models like the Yangwang U9 (starting at 1.68 million yuan or 234,000 USD ) and GAC Aion Hyper SSR (starting at 1.286 million yuan or 187,000 USD) occupy the premium segment, while vehicles such as the MG Cyberster (starting at 319,800 yuan or 44,500 USD) are positioned more towards family-oriented use.

Upon its release, the Denza Z production version is expected to compete with high-performance sedans such as the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra (starting at 529,900 yuan or 74,000 USD) and the Mercedes-Benz EQE AMG (starting at 862,000 yuan or 120,000 USD).
