The BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 plug-in hybrid off-roader was spotted in China ahead of launch. At the same time, the brand’s officials revealed its interior for the first time. This five-seat SUV will enter the Chinese market this year with RWD and AWD powertrain variants.
The Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) brand was launched by BYD in 2023 as an off-road high-end brand. Its current model line comprises three cars: the Bao 5 (Leopard 5), the Bao 8 (Leopard 8), and the Ti3 (Tai 3, Titanium 3). In June 2025, the fourth FCB model applied for a sales license in China. It is the Ti7 (Tai 7, Titanium 7) SUV. It belongs to the series of family-oriented cars along with the Ti3 electric crossover.
FCB Ti7 spotted in China
The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 was seen in China without camouflage. Photos of two cars in Green and Yellow colors were shared by Chinese blogger SugarDesign. The real-world pictures revealed that the FCB Ti7 aligns with the variant previously revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) during the local homologation process.
The Ti7 is a large 5-meter car with styling clearly inspired by the Land Rover Defender. It adopts a boxy body shape with a flat roofline and a body-color square behind the C-pillar. The Ti7 has a swing-out tailgate with a storage box mounted on it. It has rectangular taillights, wide wheel arches, two-storey running lights, and headlights integrated into the front bumper.
Spy photos revealed that the Ti7 has at least two variants of wheel design. The green car was spotted with multi-spoke blackened rims. The yellow SUV has five-spoke wheels with aerodynamic covers. Other fine features of the Ti7 include roof rails, conventional door handles, and a fuel door in the left rear fender. The FCB Ti7 has a LiDAR sensor on the roof.

FCB Ti7 interior
The interior of the Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 was previously seen in older spy shots. On July 25, FCB officially revealed the interior of its newest product. It appeared that the FCB Ti7 is available in two color schemes: black & white and black & orange. Despite being a large 5-meter SUV, the Ti7 offers only two rows of seats. Its second row could be a 60/40 split folded. The car’s trunk has several power outlets.
The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 has a large sunroof, rugged door handles, and grab handles. Interestingly, it has no ceiling-mounted screen, which has become popular among its rivals in the same segment. The new FCB off-roader has a large touchscreen in the center console with two air vents mounted below. Previous spy shots exposed that the car’s gear shifter will sit behind the wheel.

The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 adopts the brand-new DMS plug-in hybrid system. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 kW (154 hp) that is paired with two e-motors. The front TZ210XYC electric motor has a peak power of 160 kW (215 hp). The rear TZ200XSBN generates 200 kW (268 hp). It is also available with a single electric motor for 200 kW.
The entry-level FCB Ti7 has a 26.6 kWh LFP battery from the BYD subsidiary FinDreams. It provides 100 – 105 km of electric range. Its fuel consumption is 6.3 liters per 100 km. The top-trim Ti7 has a 35.6 kWh FinDreams-made LFP pack for 130 km. Its fuel capacity is slightly higher at 6.4 L/100km.
