Avatr 11 EREV launched in Singapore starting at 217,700 USD, five times more costly than in China

On July 25, the new Avatr 11 was officially launched in the Singaporean market, with a starting price of 278,999 Singapore dollars, equivalent to 1.56 million yuan or 217,700 USD. In contrast, the starting price is only 289,900 yuan or 40,500 USD in China, which is five times less than that in Singapore.

According to the policy of the Singaporean government, buying a car requires a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) and costs about 100,000 Singapore dollars. On top of that, new cars in Singapore also need to pay an Additional Registration Fee.

Positioned as a medium-to-large SUV, the Avatr 11 has body dimensions of 4895/1970/1601 mm, and the wheelbase is 2975 mm. The EREV variant has a curb weight of 2,240 kg. The BEV variant has a curb weight range from 2,310 kg to 2,410 kg.

The EREV is offered in RWD, powered by the Kunlun range-extender system:

  • 231 kW (310 hp) and 367 Nm rear electric motor
  • 1.5T engine as the range-extender
  • 39.05 kWh Freevoy (lithium iron phosphate) battery
  • 225 km CLTC pure electric cruising range
  • 1,065 km CLTC comprehensive range
  • 6.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h

The BEV is offered in both RWD and AWD, powered by the Huawei DriveOne 800V silicon carbide electric drive system:

RWD

  • 237 kW (318 hp) and 396 Nm rear electric motor
  • 116.79 kWh ternary lithium battery
  • 815 km CLTC cruising range
  • 6.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h

AWD

  • additional 165 kW (221 hp) and 291 Nm front electric motor
  • 116.79 kWh ternary lithium battery
  • 760 km CLTC cruising range
  • 3.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h

The entire series has a top speed of 200 km/h. The BEV takes 35 minutes to recharge the battery from 0% to 80% while the EREV takes 15 minutes to recharge from 30% to 80%.

Furthermore, the onboard advanced driving assistance system comes from the Huawei ADS 3.0, and is supported by three lidars, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 radars to realize functions including highway navigation on autopilot, urban automatic cruise control, parking assist, and remote parking.

In June, Avatr sold 10,153 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 117%. Only 153 units of the Avatr 11 were sold, accounting for 1.5% of the monthly sales. Currently, Avatr’s product offering includes the Avatr 06, 07, 11, 011, 12, and 012.
