On July 29, Chery’s Exeed brand released the official images of its all-new Exlantix E05 mid-size SUV, targeting the family-oriented consumer group. The global debut is scheduled at the Munich Motor Show in September.

For the exterior, the front fascia has a closed face with step-design headlights, a trapezoidal grille at the bottom, and a chrome-plated bumper. The roof has a lidar, along with 12 radars throughout the vehicle, to support Horizon Robotics’ HSD (Horizon Super Drive) level 2 urban advanced driving assistance system that is onboard the vehicle, and powered by Horizon Robotics’ self-developed Journey 6P processing hardware.

For reference, the HSD is available in three versions:

  • HSD 300: supports basic urban NOA
  • HSD 600: a more advanced version of the HSD 300
  • HSD 1200: supports both highway and urban NOA

The HSD will also be integrated into Chery’s Falcon assisted driving solution, which is available in three tiers: Falcon 500 focuses on highways NOA and parking assist, Falcon 700 adds urban NOA on top of the Falcon 500, and Falcon 900 targets level 3 autonomous driving.

The side profile features a roofline that drops downward from the B-pillar. The rear uses the popular through-type taillight group, a high mounted brake light, and a roof spoiler. Traditional door handles are retained, high-definition cameras are located on the front fenders, and the rim sizes options are 18-, 19- and 20-inch. Other configurations include roof racks and a panoramic sunroof.

Built based on Chery’s E0X platform, the Exeed Exlantix E05 has body dimensions of 4780/1890/1725 mm, and a wheelbase of 2800 mm. The vehicle curb weight is 2,065 kg.

Power comes from a 1.5T engine as the range extender with a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp), paired with 32.659 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a pure electric range of 165 km. The electric motor parameters still need to be announced by the official, along with the interior design.
