The Tesla Model Y L and Model 3+ range and battery capacity specifications were revealed by the Chinese MIIT:

• Six-seater Tesla Model Y L: 751 km CLTC cruising range, 82 kWh ternary NMC batteries from LG
• Tesla Model 3+ rear-wheel drive Long Range version: 830 km and 800 km CLTC cruising range, 78.4 kWh ternary NMC batteries from LG

Tesla Model Y L

The Tesla Model Y L is a longer and higher variant of the Model Y. The new car also has a longer wheelbase. Basic parameters were revealed by the Chinese MIIT on July 16:

• Dimensions: 4976/1920/1668 mm (l/w/h), 3040 mm wheelbase
• Curb weight: 2,088 kg
• Gross weight: 2,651 kg
• Tire specifications: 255/45R19, 275/45R19
• Approach/departure angle: 16°/18°

The dual electric motor system (models 3D3 and 3D7) has a maximum power of 142 kW (190 hp) in the front axle and 198 kW (266 hp) in the rear axle. The top speed is 201 km/h.

Tesla Model 3+

The Tesla Model 3+ maintains the same design and dimensions as the current Tesla Model 3 on sale. It features a 225kW (302 hp) rear electric motor, which is a 31 kW (42 hp) increase over the current model’s 194 kW (260 hp) electric motor. At the same time, the electric motor model has also been changed from 3D7 to 3D6. The top speed is 200 km/h.

The declared basic parameters are:

• Dimensions: 4720/1848/1442 mm (l/w/h), 2875 mm wheelbase
• Curb weight: 1,760 kg
• Gross weight: 2,192 kg
• Tire specifications: 235/45R18, 235/40R19
• Approach/departure angle: 13°/12°

The official market entry is expected to occur in September in China as Tesla’s longest-range model, with a starting price of 270,000 yuan (37,600 USD), according to Chinese news outlet Cailian.

In July, Tesla delivered 67,886 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles manufactured in China, down 5.2% from June and 8.4% year-over-year. This figure also includes vehicles exported to Europe and other markets.
