Voyah Passion L PHEV sedan with 657hp and over 5.1 meters long revealed in China

The Chinese MIIT revealed more details on the Voyah Passion L (also known as the Zhuiguang L in China) plug-in hybrid sedan, which is over 5.1 meters long, making it overall bigger than the Voyah Passion, and features a new design.

The new car was spied earlier in China.

Currently, the Voyah Passion is available in PHEV and BEV variants with a price range of 252,800 to 385,900 yuan (35,200 to 53,700 USD):

  • PHEV: 43 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, 262 km CLTC pure electric range, 1,260 km CLTC comprehensive range
  • BEV: 82 kWh ternary lithium semi-solid state and 109 kWh ternary lithium battery packs, corresponding to 580 km and 730 km CLTC ranges

The Voyah Passion L measures 5125/1985/1522 (1505) mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 3010 mm, which is 37 mm longer, 15 mm wider, and has a prolong wheelbase, compared to the Voyah Passion. The curb weight is 2,370 kg. For reference, the Voyah Passion measures 5088/1970/1515 mm, with a 3000 mm wheelbase.

The plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine and dual electric motors, matched with ternary lithium battery supplied by Svolt. The maximum power of the engine is 110 kW. The maximum power of the front and rear motors is 150 kW and 230 kW, respectively, contributing to a comprehensive system power of 490 kW (657 hp). At the same time, the top speed is 200 km/h and the pure electric range is expected to exceed 300 km with a larger battery pack than that of the Voyah Passion.

The Voyah Passion L has a brand new front face design, featuring a large waterfall grille decorated with a vertical chrome bars and embedded with the brand logo in the center. The headlights on both sides have been redesigned to a slender layout, and the bumper is accented with two horizontal chrome strips.

The side is equipped with hidden door handles and multi-spoke rims, which are available in three styles. A dual-color body paint is also offered, with optional gold or silver front grille, and a customized brand logo on the C-pillar.

Furthermore, a roof lidar is expected to be standard across the entire series to support the Huawei ADS 4.0. The orange ADS logo can be seen on the lower rear right corner.
