The updated Lynk & Co 07 EM-P sedan and the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P crossover were officially revealed in China. The main feature of these cars is the LiDAR sensor on top of the roof. It will boost these models’ driver assistance capabilities. The updated Lynk & Co cars will make their debut at the Chengdu Auto Show scheduled for August 29.

Lynk & Co is a middle-to-high brand under Geely Automobile. It sits between Geely Galaxy and Zeekr in terms of market positioning. Its current model line comprises ten models domestically. According to China EV DataTracker, the current Lynk & Co bestseller is the 03 sedan that sells mostly with an ICE powertrain. The second place in the brand’s sales hierarchy goes to the Z20 electric crossover, while the Lynk & Co 06 compact SUV with PHEV and ICE variants occupies the third place.

The plug-in hybrid Lynk & Co 08 EM-P crossover only takes the fourth spot by sales volume in the brand’s lineup with 21,425 units delivered from January to July 2025. And the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is only sixth with 11,057 units sold so far in 2025. The Geely-owned car brand aims to enhance the domestic demand for the 07 EM-P sedan and the 08 EM-P crossover by improving its driver’s assistance tech.

What’s new about the Lynk & Co 07 and 08

The brand’s representatives shared official photos of the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P and the 08 EM-P, positioning these cars as “all-new” models. However, these cars offer only minor exterior and hardware adjustments. Both vehicles follow the design language of the distinguishing The Next Day concept car. They adopt headlamps integrated into the front bumper and LED running lights that sit close to the bonnet. It is worth noting that the 07 EM-P sedan adopts a red interior shade, while the 08 EM-P crossover offers an orange color.

The core feature of the updated cars is a LiDAR on the roof. The usage of this sensor hints that the 07 EM-P and the 08 EM-P will adopt the G-Pilot H5 driver’s assistance system. It adopts two Nvidia Orin X chips with a combined computing power of 508 TOPS. This system is capable of performing the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on urban roads.

It is also likely that top-trim variants of the updated Lynk & Co models will adopt the G-Pilot H7. Its core feature is the adoption of the new generation Nvidia Drive Thor SoC with a peak computing power of 700 TOPS. This system is capable of point-to-point map-free navigation with memory parking. Previously, the Lynk & Co 900 flagship SUV with the G-Pilot H7 entered the Chinese market.
