Changan Deepal S05 electric SUV launched in Europe for 45,780 USD
The Changan Deepal S05 electric crossover was launched in Europe with a starting price of 38,990 EUR (45,780 USD). Its AWD variant speeds up to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Thanks to a 68.8 battery, it can drive up to 485 km under WLTP conditions.
The Changan Deepal S05 entered China in October 2025. It sells under the Deepal brand with no connection to Changan. However, this model was launched in Europe as an EV under the Changan brand. It was released at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich.

The Changan Deepal S05 is a compact crossover designed for urban mobility. Its dimensions are 4620/1900/1600 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,880 mm. Its core exterior features include a closed front end with two-storey headlights & a trapeze-shaped air intake, flush door handles, a single taillight unit, and a plastic trim around the lower body.
The center console of the Deepal S05 has no conventional instrument cluster. There is a large floating screen with a diameter of 15.4 inches. The center tunnel of the S05 has two wireless phone charging pads and a pair of cup holders. Its gear shifter sits behind the three-spoke D-shaped steering wheel. The front seats boast pronounced side support. The car’s trunk offers 492 liters. This crossover has a front trunk for 159 liters.
The Deepal S05 BEV for Europe adopts an LFP battery for 68.8 kWh. The entry-level S05 has a single e-motor in the rear axle for 200 kW (268 hp) and 290 Nm. It speeds up to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The towing capacity of this EV reaches 1,600 kg. The RWD variant of the Deepal S05 can run up to 485 km under WLTP conditions. The 4WD variant of the S05 offers a peak output of 320 kW (429 hp) and 502 Nm. Its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 5.5 seconds.
The Deepal S05 costs 38,990 – 44,990 EUR (45,800 – 52,840 USD) in Europe. For clarity, the BEV variant of this crossover is priced between 119,900 – 149,900 yuan (16,810 – 21,015 USD) domestically.
