The refreshed GAC Aion RT electric sedan officially launched on September 22, 2025, offering four variants priced between 99,800 and 123,800 yuan (14,000-17,400 USD). This annual model update focuses primarily on feature adjustments and pricing, while maintaining the existing exterior design and powertrain options. The top configuration boasts a maximum range of 650km.

The Aion RT embraces a “velociraptor” design concept, featuring a three-dimensional, rounded styling with fluid and dynamic body lines. The front fascia employs a minimalist design to reduce drag, complemented by sporty air intakes and a LiDAR sensor.

From the side profile, the vehicle adopts a coupe-like design with a fastback rear. The body maintains smooth contours throughout, with blacked-out window frames and concealed door handles. The charging port is located on the front fender. The Aion RT measures 4,865mm long, 1,875mm wide, and 1,520mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm. It achieves an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.208Cd and is available in seven exterior colours: Crystal Purple, Moonlight Rice, Polar White, Holographic Silver, Solar Corona Red, Sea Fluorescent Grey, and Night Shadow Black.

Inside, the Aion RT features an interior with an 8.88-inch floating instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central control screen. The infotainment system runs on the latest ADiGO 5.0 platform with a tablet-like interface and various apps. The centre console has a layered design housing air vents and a wireless charging pad. Audio is delivered through an 11-speaker 5.1-channel sound system, including an 8-inch 45Hz subwoofer.

For autonomous driving, the Aion RT is equipped with a 126-line LiDAR and Nvidia’s Orin-X chip delivering 254 TOPS of computing power. Its “no-map NDA” intelligent driving solution leverages fourth-generation end-to-end large models to navigate even unmarked roads without requiring high-precision maps, covering 99% of driving scenarios.

Powering the Aion RT are CATL’s lithium iron phosphate batteries, available in two versions: 55.1kWh and 68.1kWh. The electric motors produce maximum outputs of 150 kW (201 hp) and 165 kW (221 hp) respectively, delivering ranges of 520km and 650km. Energy consumption rates are 11.7kWh/100km and 11.9kWh/100km. The vehicle features 400V silicon carbide 3C fast-charging technology, enabling 30-80% charging in 18 minutes and providing 160-200km of range with 10 minutes of charging.
