Dongfeng’s Voyah Passion L PHEV pre-sale opens: 5.1-meter, 1,400 km range, Huawei techs, 5C battery
On September 26, Dongfeng opened its Voyah Passion L (known as Zhuiguang L in China) plug-in hybrid sedan for pre-sale, featuring a 5.1-meter long body, 5C battery, Huawei Qiankun ADS 4, and HarmonySpace 5.0 smart cockpit system. The official launch is expected to occur in the fourth quarter.
Consumers who pay a 2000 yuan (280 USD) deposit can receive a 5000 yuan (701 USD) discount off the final purchase price.

The Voyah Passion L measures 5125/1985 (1522)/1505 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 3010 mm, and adopts a 5-seat layout. In comparison, the Voyah Passion measures 5080/1970/1515 (1505) mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 3000 mm.






The Voyah Passion L has a completely new design compared to the Voyah Passion. The front grille features 34 vertical chrome strips, centered with the Voyah brand logo. The headlights on both sides have been redesigned with a split layout, and the front bumper is embellished with two horizontal chrome strips.
The rear continues to use through-type taillights with a different design.


The advanced driving assistance system comes from the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4, supported by 29 sensors including an 192-line lidar and three 4D millimeter-wave radars.
The plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine and dual electric motors, matched with 5C 63 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. The engine produces a maximum power of 110 kW (148 hp), while the electric motors have maximum power outputs of 150 kW (201 hp) and 230 kW (308 hp). The CLTC pure electric range is 410 km, the comprehensive range is 1,400 km (according to Chinese media PCAuto), and the WLTC fuel consumption per 100 km is 5.67 L.
With 5C supercharging rate, it takes 12 minutes to recharge the battery from 20% to 80%.

Inside, the cockpit also adopts a new design, covered in leather and accented with wood trim. There is an LCD instrument panel and a 16.1-inch 3K central control screen, powered by Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5.0 smart cockpit. The center console is simpler, featuring two cupholders and wireless charging panels.


The audio system features 23 speakers.


Other configurations include a 6.6L refrigerator, a zero-gravity co-pilot seat, heating/ventilation/massage functions for all seats, 256-color ambient lighting, and a foldable rear center console.
