All-new Chery Tiggo 8 revealed in official images, Q4 launch
Chery released the official images of its all-new Tiggo 8, positioned as a mid-size family-oriented SUV. The new car features an updated design, a five-seat layout, and a larger body size than the current Tiggo 8. The official launch will be in the fourth quarter of this year.


Currently, Chery’s Tiggo 8 series has five models on sale on the Chinese market, including the all-new Tiggo 8 Plus, Tiggo 8L, Tiggo 8 Zhuoyue (translates to Excellence in English) Edition, 2025 Tiggo 8 Pro, and all-new Tiggo 8 Plus CD-M.
In August, Chery sold 15,695 Tiggo 8s.
For reference, the Tiggo 8 Zhuoyue Edition has a price range of 109,900 to 119,900 yuan (15,400 to 16,800 USD). Power comes from a 1.5TCI engine that outputs a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a peak torque of 230 Nm.


Once launched, consumers will be able to choose from two front fascia styles.


One is similar to the current Tiggo 8 Plus, featuring split headlights and a polygonal X-shape matrix decorated grille.

The other features a single-body headlight unit and a polygonal diamond-shape matrix decorated grille.

The rear adopts an updated design with a through-type taillight that extends across (compared to the current two taillight clusters), Chery English letter logo above the taillight, and dual exhaust outlets.

The all-new Tiggo 8 measures 4749/1880/1710 mm, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm. Compared to the Tiggo 8 currently on sale, the new model is 27 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and 35 mm shorter. Additionally, thewheelbase has increased dramatically from 2710 mm to 2825 mm.
At this time, Chery has not the revealed the all-new Tiggo 8’s powertrain specifications. The new car is likely to come with a more powerful engine.
