The Voyah Taishan luxury plug-in hybrid SUV from Dongfeng revealed its interior in China as this model readies for the domestic launch with an approximate price tag of 500,000 yuan (70,430 USD). It boasts six seats and Huawei tech on board. Another feature of this model is a 65 kWh battery.
The Voyah Taishan is the brand’s flagship model that previously applied for a sales license in China. It is a full-size SUV with dimensions of 5230/20205/1817 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3,120 mm. The Taishan comes standard with a 65 kWh ternary NMC battery for 370 km of electric range under CLTC conditions. This pack powers two e-motors for 380 kW (510 hp). Thanks to a 1.5-liter ICE, the Taishan can run up to 1,400 km of range. On October 29, this SUV revealed its interior.

The Voyah Taishan interior adopts six seats with a 2+2+2 layout. The second row adopts two captain chairs with touchscreens and cup holders in the armrests. Both seats adopt a power leg rest, phone charging, and speakers in the headrests. This high-end equipment contradicts cheap-looking black seatbelts. Other Taishan features include a built-in refrigerator, folding tables, a split sunroof, and a ceiling-mounted screen.

The center console of the Taishan aligns with other cars that adopt the Harmony OS5 from Huawei. It has a floating touchscreen and an LCD instrument panel. The Taishan also has an augmented reality head-up display. The gear shifter sits on the steering column. The center console adopts a block of physical buttons, two wireless phone charging pads, and a roomy storage compartment.

The Voyah Taishan SUV will also adopt the ADS 4 Huawei-developed driver assistance system. It comprises four LiDAR sensors. This system allows the car to drive autonomously (under the driver’s supervision) from address to address. Another function is a remote valet parking. Other high-end equipment of this model includes air suspension and rear-wheel steering.
The Voyah Taishan will enter the domestic market this year to rival the Zeekr 9X, the Li Auto L9, the Aito M9, and other full-size flagship crossovers from Chinese NEV makers. Next year, the Dongfeng’s model will kick off global sales. More on the Voyah Taishan as we get it.
