A new variant of Wuling‘s Binguo S (also known as Bingo S in various markets) has been exposed, which will be equipped with a 52.9 kWh battery pack and claims a CLTC test range of 525 kilometres. The model is positioned to compete with the MG4, which offers a comparable range and is also owned by SAIC. The information is provided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which has disclosed battery capacity and range figures; however, no specific launch date has been announced yet.

The Binguo S is positioned as a compact electric vehicle in China, with external dimensions of 4,265 mm in length, 1,785 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. The styling features a closed front grille, polygonal headlight clusters with “C”-shaped daytime running lights, and a full-width tail-light strip at the rear.

Within the cabin, the vehicle features an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch floating centre touchscreen, a three-spoke steering wheel, a shift-by-wire gear lever, and a 50 W wireless charging pad among its amenities. Interior colour themes offered include Soft White and Warm Brown. Standard equipment includes tyre-pressure monitoring, a reversing camera, cruise control, Bluetooth key, push-button start, and a six-speaker audio system. Higher trims add a panoramic camera system, electric driver’s seat adjustment, heated front seats, and electrically folding mirrors.

Currently, the Binguo S is offered with two battery capacities: 31.9 kWh, which delivers a 325 km CLTC range, and 41.9 kWh, which provides a 430 km CLTC range. Both versions used a front-mounted single electric motor rated at 75 kW and 180 Nm of torque, paired with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries. The model supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes and is equipped with safety features, including four airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist.

Pricing for the current Binguo S range is quoted at 66,800 to 79,800 yuan (approximately 9,400 USD to 11,300 USD). The company has yet to publish full official details on launch timing or configuration differences for the new variant.
