A fully electric version of the Geely Galaxy A7 has been spotted undergoing road tests in China, based on new spy photographs circulating, as reported by Auto-Home. The Galaxy A7 is currently sold only as a plug-in hybrid, and the appearance of a battery-electric prototype indicates that Geely is preparing to expand the model line into the mid-size EV sedan segment.

The test vehicle is heavily camouflaged, but its overall body profile appears consistent with that of the plug-in hybrid A7. The charging port is positioned on the front passenger-side fender, a layout that differs from the hybrid version. The prototype also features low-drag wheel designs, reflecting typical BEV aerodynamic priorities. It is not yet known whether the electric version will introduce a front trunk, as the camouflage obscures the front-end structure.

Powertrain information has not been disclosed. Observations from the exposed chassis sections in the spy images suggest a single-motor, front-wheel-drive configuration, though this remains unconfirmed. Geely has not issued any official statement regarding the vehicle, and the test sightings provide the only current indication of development progress.

The plug-in hybrid version serves as the closest available reference for dimensions and equipment. That model measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm.

Inside, the PHEV offers a rectangular central touchscreen in either 14.6-inch or 15.4-inch formats, a dual-spoke steering wheel, and a centre console with physical buttons and a rotary control. Rear-seat knee room is rated at 132 mm. Higher trims of the hybrid include ventilated, heated, and massaging seats, along with a panoramic roof measuring 0.87 square metres. It has not yet been confirmed which of these interior features will be carried over to the electric model.

Pricing for the existing PHEV ranges from 89,800 yuan to 125,800 yuan, which equates to roughly 12,300 USD to 17,200 USD. Geely has not provided any timeline, technical specifications, or price guidance for the upcoming BEV version.
