Onvo L90 Black Knight limited edition from Nio entered China for 31,060 USD
The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition full-size crossover from Nio entered China at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2025. Only 999 units of this variant are available for purchase within the domestic market. Chinese customers can buy the L90 Black Knight Edition without a battery pack for 220,800 yuan (31,060 USD).
The Onvo L90 was initially launched in China on July 31 and rapidly became one of Nio’s bestselling cars. According to China EV DataTracker, this model sold 33,294 units from August to October 2025. On November 21, Onvo launched the limited edition of the L90 with a very black exterior.

The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition is finished in black body color. Moreover, rims and all the trim around the car’s body were also blacked. Interestingly, the interior of this SUV suddenly appeared to be brown. So, the L90 Black Knight lives up to its name only from the outside. The cabin adopts six seats with a 2+2+2 layout.
This special edition comes standard with a dual-motor 4WD, a zero-gravity right second-row captain chair, power side steps, 21-inch rims, and blacked badges. The options mentioned are usually available as paid add-ons. Their combined value reaches 54,000 yuan (7,600 USD).
The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition aligns with standard models in terms of specs. Its dimensions are 5145/1998/1786 mm with a 3,110 mm wheelbase. The drag coefficient is 0.25 Cd. The Onvo L90 boasts a 240 L front trunk and a 430 L rear trunk. The car comes standard with an 85 kWh battery for 570 km of range (AWD variant). The combined peak power of the dual-motor variant reaches 440 kW (590 hp).

The recommended retail price of the Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition is 306,800 yuan (43,160 USD). For clarity, it is 7,000 yuan (980 USD) more expensive than the top-of-the-line regular trim level of the L90 called Ultra.
Moreover, Chinese customers can reduce the price of the L90 Black Knight Edition due to the BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan option. The car can be purchased without a battery. In this scenario, the L90 owner will need to pay a monthly fee of 899 yuan (~130 USD). As a result, the L90 Black Knight Edition’s price could be sliced to 220,800 yuan (31,060 USD). It is 32,700 yuan (4,600 USD) cheaper than the China-made Tesla Model Y. As mentioned, the Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition is limited to 999 units.
