The GAC Aion N60 electric minivan was exposed in China, attracting attention with its styling. The N60’s front-end design resembles the Zeekr Mix minivan from Geely Group. The Aion model will enter the Chinese market next year, aiming at taxi fleets.

Aion was founded in 2018 as a new energy brand under GAC Group. Nowadays, it actively pushes its overseas strategy with a focus on Southeast Asia and Europe. The Aion’s domestic model line includes eight vehicles. The N60 will become the brand’s ninth car, aiming at business fleets.

More about the GAC Aion N60

The GAC Aion N60 is a compact-sized minivan with dimensions of 4615/1860/1673 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,775 mm. Plastic trim around wheel arches and high ground clearance add some SUV vibes to its appearance. The N60’s front end adopts two elongated LED headlamps that remind us of the Zeekr Mix minivan with its Stargate interactive display.

The GAC Aion N60 has a closed front end with a large air intake in the front bumper. It has a charging port in the right front fender and flush door handles. Other features include slanted A-pillars, short overhangs, and frameless side-view mirrors. From the back, the car has a minimalistic bumper, a small wiper, a taillight strip, and a roof spoiler. The N60 rides on R17 or R18 wheels.

The GAC Aion N60’s front and rear overhangs are 17 and 24 degrees, respectively. The curb weight is 1,630 kg. As for the gross weight, it reaches 2,075 kg. The N60’s cabin remained undisclosed. However, the regulator shared that this minivan has five seats. A photo provided during the homologation process shows that it has a large floating screen in the center console. The car also has a block of cameras under the windshield and an optional LiDAR on the roof to support driver assistance systems.

The GAC Aion N60 adopts the single permanent magnet TZ160XYD3A02 electric motor from GAC with a peak power output of 100 kW (134 hp). It is powered by an LFP battery pack manufactured by GAC battery subsidiary Inpai Technology. Its capacity has yet to be revealed. A relatively low power output of the e-motor hints that this car aims at the commercial mobility segment. This vehicle will enter the market next year. CarNewsChina expects it to cost around 100,000 yuan (14,140 USD).
