The Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture produced the 50,000th Nissan N7 electric sedan on December 11 in China. It took the automaker 227 days to achieve this milestone. Next year, Chona-made Nissan battery electric cars will head to overseas markets, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
The Nissan N7 electric sedan entered the Chinese market on April 28, getting 10,000 orders 18 days after the launch. On June 30, the N7’s deliveries reached 10,000 units. According to China EV DataTracker, Nissan delivered 39,441 units of the N7 sedan as of October 2025.
Nissan N7 production milestone
On December 11, Nissan officially announced it manufactured the 50,000th N7 electric sedan at the Guangzhou plant in China. The Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture reached this milestone in 7 months and 13 days. The N7’s price range in China is 119,900 – 149,900 yuan (16,970 – 21,220 USD).

The Guangzhou (Huadu) assembly plant is the major production facility of the Dongfeng-Nissan JV, with a peak annual production volume of 600,000 units. It also assembles the brand’s most popular model in China. It is the Sylphy petrol-powered sedan.
Previously, it was reported that the Dongfeng-Nissan JV will export its electric cars to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions starting in 2026. This move mirrors the current challenges the Japanese company faced in recent years.
More about the Nissan N7
The N7 sedan will likely become the first China-made Nissan BEV sedan to reach overseas markets. It is a large car with dimensions of 4930/1895/1487 mm. Its wheelbase reaches 2,915 mm. Thanks to a sleek body shape, the N7 has a drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd.

The Nissan N7 has two powertrain options. The entry-level model adopts a 58 kWh LFP battery from Sunwoda. It sends power to a single electric motor in the front axle for 160 kW (215 hp). The range lies in a 510 – 540 km range.
The second powertrain variant offers a 73 kWh LFP battery from the same supplier. It powers the 200 kW (268 hp) e-motor. The CLTC range is 625 km. This sedan speeds up to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
