The BYD Great Tang is a mass-produced variant of the Dynasty-D concept car revealed at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. It applied for a sales license in China on February 6, revealing core specs. On March 5, BYD made an official debut in China as it aims to regain its market presence.

The BYD Great Tang is a full-size SUV that aligns with the Loong Face (Dragon Face) design language. The car’s front end adopts the “Dragon Whiskers” running light strip and a large trapeze-shaped air intake. Other highlights include semi-hidden door handles, a LiDAR sensor on the roof, and large chrome-plated rims. Dimensions of the BYD Great Tang are 5302/1999/1800 mm with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm.

It was previously revealed that the Great Tang adopts three screens in the center console, folding tables for the second-row passengers, a ceiling-mounted screen, and a built-in refrigerator. The car rides on 20 or 21-inch rims. It also adopts BYD’s DiPilot 300 (“God’s Eye B”) assisted driving system that supports the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on urban roads and highways.

The BYD Great Tang will likely enter the domestic market in late April at the Beijing Auto Show 2026. More about this vehicle as we get it.
