BYD reveals updated Fang Cheng Bao Ti3 and Ti7 with flash charging

BYD reveals the updated Fang Cheng Bao Ti3 and the Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 crossovers with the megawatt flash charging feature. Both vehicles are set to sell globally as the BYD Ti3 and the BYD Ti7. The Ti7 crossover boasts up to 755 km, and can charge 10 – 97% in 9 minutes.

On March 5, BYD launched the second-gen Blade Battery. Its core benefits include megawatt-charging capability and enhanced cold resistance. It was revealed that a total of eleven models will adopt the new battery pack. The Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) Ti3 and the FCB Ti7 are among them. These cars will also feature a LiDAR sensor from BYD-backed Robosense.

The updated FCB Ti3 aligns with the outgoing model in terms of design. It is a compact crossover with dimensions of 4605/1900/1720 mm and a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. It adopts a sturdy design language with wide wheel arches and sharp lines. Six body colors are available: white, black, green, gray, blue, and silver. The cabin could be finished in two shades: dark and light.

The FCB Ti3 charges from 10 to 97% in less than 9 minutes

The new second-generation Blade Battery became the core feature of the FCB Ti3. This crossover adopts a 75.6 kWh LFP battery. It provides up to 620 km of CLTC range for the RWD model with a peak power output of 200 kW (268 hp). This battery pack charges 400 km of range in five minutes at BYD’s flash charging stations. During the live tests, the FCB Ti3 charged from 10 to 97% in 8 minutes and 45 seconds.

The FCB Ti3 could be equipped with a dual-motor AWD. Other highlights of the car include a large sunroof, the DiSus-C chassis with continuous damping suspension, and the optional DiPilot 300 (God’s Eye B) assisted driving system with a Robosense-made LiDAR sensor. The FCB Ti3 Flash Charging edition has yet to enter the domestic market.

The FCB Ti7 Flash Charging Edition

The FCB Ti7 EV is a larger SUV with dimensions of 4999/1995/1865 mm. It has a five-seat interior and the Devialet sound system. The RWD variant of the Ti7 adopts a 300 kW (402 hp) electric motor. The battery capacity has yet to be revealed. However, it provides 755 km of range. This battery pack charged from 10 to 97% in 9 minutes and 5 seconds at BYD’s flash charging station.

The 4WD variant of the FCB Ti7 offers a peak power of 515 kW (691 hp). It can speed up to 240 km/h. The car also boasts a trunk with a volume of 970 liters, 20 Devialet speakers, and the DiPilot 300 assisted driving system. Other specs and prices of the FCB Ti7 have yet to be revealed.
