Geely Galaxy announced that the M7 recorded over 10,000 firm orders within 12 hours of its market launch on April 28. The compact plug-in hybrid SUV is offered with a limited-time starting price of 109,800 yuan (15,200 USD), according to Autohome.

Narrowing price gap

The M7 is available in four variants. Official pricing ranges from 119,800 to 147,800 yuan, while limited-time launch pricing is 109,800-137,800 yuan (15,200–19,100 USD).

This positions the model below its earlier pre-sale starting price of about 146,000 yuan (20,300 USD), as previously disclosed. The adjustment reduces the entry price by approximately 36,000 yuan compared with the pre-sale level.

Platform and positioning

The M7 is positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV built on Geely’s GEA Evo architecture, introduced in 2025. The platform spans B- to D-segment vehicles and also underpins models such as the Galaxy M9.

The vehicle measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm.

Powertrain details

The model uses a 1.5L Thor EM hybrid system paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 82 kW and a stated thermal efficiency of 47.26%. The electric motor produces 175 kW and 262 Nm.

Energy is stored in a 29.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Under CLTC conditions, the M7 offers an electric-only range of up to 225 km and a combined range of up to 1,730 km.

Charging from 30% to 80% takes approximately 15 minutes. WLTC fuel consumption in charge-depleting conditions is listed at 4.69–4.73 L/100 km. Earlier disclosures cited a lower 3.35 L/100 km figure under different test conditions.

Smart features

The interior centres around a 15.4-inch 2.5K display running the Flyme Auto 2 system, powered by a 7 nm Longying No.1 chip. The system supports voice interaction and AI-based functions.

Driver assistance is based on the G-Pilot H3 system and supports highway and elevated-road navigation assist features, including lane changes and ramp handling. The parking system supports recognition of more than 300 parking scenarios.
