GAC Aion N60 minivan-alike EV launched in China at 16,090 USD with LiDAR
The GAC Aion N60 minivan-alike urban electric car was launched in China, looking like an imminent replacement of the older Aion Y Plus. The new car comes standard with a LiDAR sensor, a zero-gravity front passenger seat, a 15.6-inch screen, and an e-motor for 165 kW (221 hp).
Aion is a new energy car brand under the state-owned Guangzhou-based GAC Group. One of its bestselling cars is the Aion Y Plus crossover, which is popular among both ride-hailing services and private customers. However, this model started showing its age as it delivered 14,639 vehicles in Q1 2026, down 30.4% Year-Over-Year, according to China EV DataTracker.

The new GAC Aion N60 model entered the domestic market as a perfect successor to the Y Plus. However, these two models will sell simultaneously for some time.
More about the Aion N60
The GAC Aion N60 features a body shape similar to the previously mentioned Y Plus. It has a short bonnet line, slanted A-pillars, a slightly curved roofline, and a short rear overhang. The car has semi-hidden door handles and a single taillight strip. The front end adopts a large air intake and two blocks of headlights sitting below elongated LED running light strips.

The overall body shape of the Aion N60 reminds us of compact minivans. However, this car is positioned as a compact SUV aimed at urban mobility. It boasts dimensions of 5615/1883/1673 mm. The wheelbase stretches to 2,775 mm. The car comes with a LiDAR sensor and a 4D millimeter-wave radar. As a result, the Aion N60 is capable of the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on urban roads and highways.

The car’s interior follows the minimalistic styling of other Aion-branded models. It includes a circular steering wheel with a gear shifter and a small 8.88-inch LCD instrument cluster mounted behind. The biggest highlight of the interior is a large 15.6-inch screen powered by the Adigo 6.0 OS. The car comes standard with a zero-gravity front passenger chair. Its front seats adopt heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Other features of the Aion N60’s functional equipment are a 50W wireless phone charger and climate control. This vehicle could be optionally equipped with a 6.6-liter built-in fridge, 11 speakers, folding tables, and rear cup holders.
Powertrain and prices
The GAC Aion N60 comes standard with an electric motor in the front axle. Its peak power output reaches 165 kW (221 hp) while the torque is 205 Nm. Three LFP battery options from the GAC Group subsidiary Inpow are available with a capacity of 45.582 kWh, 57.433 kWh, and 69.753 kWh.

The Aion N60 speeds up to 100 km/h in 7.9 or 8.5 seconds, depending on the battery option. The electric CLTC range is 410 km, 510 km, or 610 km. This model is available in three trim levels with the battery pack as the only difference. Prices of the Aion N60 are as follows:
- Aion N60 410 Ultra – 109,800 yuan (16,090 USD)
- Aion N60 510 Ultra – 119,800 yuan (17,560 USD)
- Aion N60 610 Ultra – 129,800 yuan (19,025 USD)
It is worth noting that GAC Group previously applied for a sales license for the Aion N60 with a swappable battery. Previously, this automaker entered into a partnership with CATL and launched the Aion RT sedan compatible with the largest battery maker’s swap stations. This variant will aim at the ride-hailing services.
