The Stellantis-backed Leapmotor B01 sedan is an electric vehicle built on the Leapmotor B10 crossover’s platform. The B01 will start sales in China with a price range of around 100,000 – 150,000 yuan (13,650 – 20,450 USD). Today, it’s revealed on the MIIT website.
The Leapmotor B01 features 4770/1880/1490mm in l/w/h with a wheelbase of 2735mm. The exterior design follows Leapmotor’s family styling with a closed-off front fascia, featuring a continuous light strip and split headlight arrangement. The sedan sports a dynamic profile with black window frames and exterior mirrors that enhance its sporty appearance.
At the rear, the B01 incorporates a through–type taillight design with segmented lighting elements that create a more vivid visual effect when illuminated. The vehicle offers optional configurations including a panoramic glass roof and different styles of rear position lights.
The B01 will be available with two powertrain options:
Both versions will be equipped with lithium-iron phosphate batteries from CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery).
Built on Leapmotor’s latest LEAP 3.5 technology architecture, the B01 has an optional roof-mounted LiDAR system paired with an 8650 chip for intelligent driving capabilities. This hardware enables highway and urban automatic navigation assistance features.
According to information disclosed at Leapmotor’s partner conference, the B01 sedan will launch in July this year.
Leapmotor has become the third Chinese NEV startup to achieve profitability at scale after Li Auto and Aito. It also has already begun selling two electric vehicle models through Stellantis dealerships in the United Kingdom as part of their joint venture. The C10 and the compact T03 electric car are now available, with the B10 midsize SUV scheduled to launch later this year.
