On May 26, FAW’s Bestune brand launched its Yueyi 07 plug-in hybrid SUV, available in four trims with a price range of 99,800 – 139,900 yuan (13,900 – 19,400 USD). The Yueyi 07 has an official comprehensive range of 1,500 km and a real-world tested comprehensive range of 1754.5 km.

Yueyi is a low-cost new energy vehicle series under Bestune as part of the brand’s “All in New Energy” strategy. The Yueyi 07 is the series’ second model after the Yueyi 03 which was launched earlier in March this year.

Positioned as a mid-size SUV, the Yueyi 07 has body dimensions of 4745/1880/1710 mm and a wheelbase of 2772 mm. The official claimed the Yueyi 07 has the longest passenger space in its class at 3300 mm, and the front and rear row passenger space reaches 2530 mm. Consumers can choose from four exterior paints: white, gray, green, and black.

Built based on FAW’s BMP super hybrid platform, power comes from a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, combined with 21.2 kWh and 30.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, which correspond to a CLTC pure electric range of 150 km and 210 km, respectively. The engine has a thermal efficiency of 45.21% and a maximum power of 110 kW (148 hp); the electric motor has a maximum power of 168 kW (225 hp). The lowest fuel consumption per 100 km is 3.9 L and the fastest 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 6.9 seconds. Under fast charging with 2C charging rate, it takes 20 minutes to recharge from 30% to 80%.

Coming inside, the cockpit features a flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 12.6-inch vertical central control screen that supports Huawei HiCar and Carlink and is connected to the DeepSeek AI model. The top-of-the-line trim is also equipped with an 8-speaker audio system, 32-color ambient lighting, and a level 2 advanced driving assistance system.

The entire series adopts a five-seat layout. The front seats support electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating, while the rear seats only support heating. Rear passengers also have access to a central armrest.

Additionally, the standard trunk volume is 590 L and can be expanded to 1800 L after the rear seats are folded down.
