Xiaomi SU7 Ultra becomes 3rd fastest car at Nürburgring with 6:22.091 lap, limited edition starts at 113,500 USD
Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 Ultra Nürburgring Limited Track Edition during its “Human-Car-Home” ecosystem event, announcing that the prototype version of the vehicle completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:22.091. This result ranks the car third on the Nürburgring’s all-time global leaderboard.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated that the company chose the Nürburgring specifically due to the circuit’s reputation as a comprehensive test of automotive engineering. The Nordschleife measures 20.832 km in length, featuring 177 corners and a total elevation change of 304 meters. According to Lei, performance on this track serves as a benchmark of vehicle capability across multiple systems, including aerodynamics, power delivery, handling, and thermal management.

Earlier this month, Xiaomi also reported that the mass-production version of the SU7 Ultra completed a Nürburgring lap in 7 minutes 4.957 seconds. This time, it established the fastest production electric sedan on the circuit to date. That car featured the optional Track Professional Package and was fitted with an 80 kg full roll cage, matching specifications used in domestic circuit testing.

The newly released SU7 Ultra Nürburgring Limited Edition is restricted to 100 units globally, with only 10 units labelled as 2025 models. Priced at 814,900 yuan (approx. 113,500 USD), the edition includes several factory-installed track enhancements. These features include a carbon fibre dual-channel hood, aerodynamic underbody panels, a fixed carbon rear wing, racing-grade carbon fibre bucket seats, a six-point harness, and a steel half-roll cage. Pre-orders began at 22:00 on June 26.

Alternatively, buyers of the regular SU7 Ultra may choose the 100,000 yuan (approx. 13,880 USD) “Track Professional Package,” which incorporates many of the Nürburgring Edition’s performance components. With the package installed, the total price comes to 629,900 yuan (approx. 87,250 USD). This configuration is also open for reservation as of June 26.

All variants are powered by a tri-motor setup producing a combined output of 1,548 hp—two 578 hp rear-mounted V8s motors and a 392 hp front-mounted V6s motor. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h. Energy is supplied by a 93.7 kWh CATL Qilin II battery, operating at 897 volts, with a CLTC-rated range of up to 630 km.

The Track Edition features performance-oriented modifications, including Bilstein EVO R coilovers, semi-slick Pirelli tyres, and a revised aerodynamic package, all of which have been tested at both domestic circuits and the Nürburgring. Unlike the standard SU7 Ultra, which requires an OTA unlock for full output, the Track Edition has all capabilities activated from delivery.

Following its latest Nürburgring lap, Xiaomi becomes the first Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer to reach third position on the circuit’s global leaderboard. The company has also secured naming rights to Turn 12 at the Nürburgring, which will now be referred to as the “Xiaomi Curve.”
