All trims of the YU7 ride on Xiaomi’s 800V silicon carbide high-voltage architecture and feature the company’s V6s Plus motors. The base YU7 is a rear-wheel-drive model with 235 kW of output, a 96.3 kWh LFP battery, and a 0–100 km/h time of 5.88 seconds. The Pro model features dual motors for all-wheel drive, increasing output to 365 kW and reducing the 0–100 km/h time to 4.27 seconds. The top-spec Max trim features dual motors producing 508 kW (690 PS) and 866 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds (2.98 seconds excluding launch delay) and reaching a top speed of 253 km/h. It uses a 101.7 kWh NCM battery.

Range varies by configuration: 835 km (RWD), 770 km (Pro), and 760 km (Max), all under CLTC standards. The YU7 supports 5.2C ultra-fast charging, adding up to 620 km in 15 minutes.

Interior highlights include Nappa leather seats, 123° reclining zero-gravity front seats with massage, a 135° electrically adjustable rear seat, and a large 1.1-meter-wide “HyperVision” panoramic screen that combines three Mini LED displays for a high-resolution, immersive interface. The rear passengers are equipped with a 6.68-inch control touchscreen, and the vehicle features intelligent voice control with Xiaomi’s AI assistant.

Storage features include a 13.7L lockable glove box, a 5.2L rear drawer, and 36 storage compartments, offering up to 1,970L of space. There’s also a 4.6L mini-fridge and a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos-capable sound system. Xiaomi also offers full Apple ecosystem integration, including CarPlay, Apple Music, and vehicle control for Apple Watch.

All YU7 models come equipped with lidar, Nvidia’s Thor chip (700 TOPS), and Xiaomi’s in-house 10-million-clip end-to-end assisted driving system.

Safety features include a steel-aluminium hybrid cage utilising 2200 MPa hot-stamped steel, developed in collaboration with academic partners, a crash-absorbing front structure, and a bullet-resistant battery shell. Lei Jun emphasised that the YU7 has undergone testing for over 539 days across 296 cities, covering 6.49 million kilometres in extreme conditions.

The YU7 is available for preorder starting immediately after the launch, with a refundable deposit of 5,000 yuan (approx. 700 USD) required within seven days. Xiaomi plans to commence production at its second-phase factory in July, aiming for an annual capacity of 150,000 units. However, delivery timelines may be significantly extended due to existing demand and production constraints, with some customers potentially waiting until 2026 for vehicle delivery.
