2026 Haval Big Dog official images revealed ahead of launch on July 17
This is the 2026 Haval Big Dog from Great Wall Motor (GWM) with mainly appearance and cockpit upgrades as a facelift model. The official launch is scheduled for July 17 in China. For reference, the current 2024 model on sale has a price range of 123,900 – 149,900 yuan (17,270 – 20,900 USD).
According to the official, the cumulative sales of the Haval Big Dog have exceeded 600,000 units since its launch in 2020. As of May 2025, its sales have exceeded 10,000 units for 12 consecutive months.






Consumers will be able to choose from five exterior paints: Misty Blue, Moss Rock Green, Meteorite Gray, Moon White, and Black.


In the front, the 2026 Haval Big Dog has an upgraded grille design while the retro LED headlights are retained, integrating 47800 cd low beam and 94500 cd high beam in terms of luminous intensity. The official claimed that the brightness of the low beam has increased by 20%. Additionally, the rear retains the inverted L-shaped through-type light strip design.

From the side, the square boxy shape, traditional door handles, and roof racks are not absent.
For reference, the length, width, and height of the 2024 Haval Big Dog on sale are 4620/1890/1780 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2738 mm. The 2026 model’s dimensions are expected to remain unchanged.


Inside, the cockpit has a new D-shaped steering wheel and a larger 14.6-inch floating central control screen equipped with GWM’s Coffee OS 3 operating system. A 9-inch W-HUD and an instrument panel are also present.


The trunk space can be expanded to 1,404 L after folding down the rear seats. At the same time, seat ventilation and 10 speakers for the sound system are supported.
At this time, the powertrain specs have not been revealed. For reference, the 2024 model is powered by either a 1.5T or 2.0T engine, mated to a 7-speed DCT or 9-speed DCT, respectively. The former has a maximum power of 135 kW (181 hp) and a peak torque of 275 Nm while the latter outputs 175 kW (235 hp) and 385 Nm.
