HIMA’s Luxeed brand opened its updated R7 SUV and S7 sedan for pre-sale in China:

• Luxeed R7: starting at 268,000 yuan (37,300 USD), available in EREV and BEV
• Luxeed S7: starting at 258,000 yuan (35,900 USD), available in BEV

Both vehicles feature a new Aurora Green exterior paint and Huawei’s ADS 4.0, and are equipped with a front 192-line lidar, rear solid-state lidar, and 4D millimeter-wave radars.

Luxeed is a joint venture between Huawei and Chery.

More than 10,000 orders were received within one hour of the pre-sale opening.

New Luxeed R7

The new Luxeed R7 has an updated front fascia, brand logo, and microphones are added to the exterior mirrors. The body dimensions are 4982/1981/1650 (1634) mm, and the wheelbase is 2950 mm. It is worth calling out that the 192-line lidar has a detection range of 250 m.

The EREV and BEV powertrain parameters remain unchanged. The EREV is equipped with a 1.5T engine as the range extender. Specifically, the dual motors output a total power of 382 kW (512 hp), while the rear motor outputs 227 kW (304 hp). 37 kWh and 53.4 kWh ternary lithium or lithium iron phosphate battery packs are offered, providing pure electric ranges of 251 km, 331 km, and 360 km under CLTC conditions. The comprehensive ranges are 1570 km, 1673 km, and 1551 km.

The BEV is matched with 82 kWh and 100 kWh ternary lithium or lithium iron phosphate battery packs, with pure electric ranges of 667 km, 736 km, and 802 km under CLTC conditions. The RWD has a maximum power of 215 kW (288 hp) and the AWD outputs a total of 365 kW (489 hp).

Inside, a new purple color is added to the interior scheme. Notably, the cockpit has a 3K 16.1-inch central control screen, 21 speakers, a refrigerator, and zero-gravity front seats.

New Luxeed S7

The new Luxeed S7 underwent a similar exterior configuration upgrades. The body dimensions remain consistent with the current model: 4971/1963/1474 (1634) mm, and the wheelbase is 2950 mm.

In terms of power, the single-motor version has a maximum power of 292 kW (392 hp), and the dual-motor version has a maximum power of 496 kW (665 hp). It is equipped with an 82 kWh or 100 kWh battery pack, and the cruising range is 705 km, 785 km, 855 km, and 703 km.
