The updated Voyah Courage mid-size electric SUV from Dongfeng started presales in China with an estimated price of 220,000 yuan (30,640 USD). It has an 81 kWh ternary NMC battery and a dual-motor AWD for 405 kW (543 hp). The updated crossover became 22% more expensive than its predecessor.
Voyah Courage is the brand’s fourth model that initially entered the Chinese market in October 2024 under the Zhiyin name with a starting price of 179,900 yuan (25,060 USD). This model suffered from slow sales with 11,059 units delivered from October 2024 to July 2025, according to China EV DataTracker.
However, Voyah also introduced the Courage SUV to European markets, including Norway, Finland, and Sweden. On August 13, the updated Voyah Courage kicked off presales in China.

The updated Voyah Courage aligns with the exterior styling of its predecessor. However, the 2025 model year SUV has an updated front end with a large 46.75-inch grille imitation that consists of 264 LED elements. Another highlight of this sleek model is a LiDAR sensor on the roof. It is a part of Huawei’s ADS 4 driver’s assistance system. The Voyah Courage’s body adopts high-strength steel with a tensile strength of 2,000 MPa.
Dimensions of this model are 4810/1900/1636 mm with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm. The Courage SUV boasts up to 1,038 mm of legroom for the second-row passengers. Another benefit of this model is a space utilization rate of 90.8%. It is a decent number for a five-seat SUV. The front passenger seat of the Courage offers a zero-gravity mode. Front and rear (left and right) seats of this model adopt ventilation, heating, and 8-point massage functions. Every window of the car adopts double-layered glass.
The interior of the updated Voyah Courage was slightly redesigned. It has a larger LCD instrument panel, a new three-spoke steering wheel, and a simple center tunnel. Infotainment of this model adopts the Harmony OS from Huawei. 16.4 square meters of the Courage SUV are covered with soft materials. This car has a storage box with cooling and heating functions. Other highlights of the Courage’s cabin are the Voyah Sound system and a large 2.26-square-meter sunroof.
The Voyah Courage features an 800V high-voltage system and a CATL-made ternary NMC battery, providing 81 kWh of capacity. It is suitable for up to 650 km of CLTC range. The entry-level Courage has a single electric motor for 230 kW (309 hp). The AWD model has a combined peak power of 405 kW (543 hp). It is worth noting that Courage’s battery supports 5C charging. It can charge 100 km of CLTC range in three minutes.
Voyah Courage presales
On August 13, Voyah CEO Lu Fang shared that the updated Courage SUV started presales in China with an estimated price of 220,000 yuan (30,640 USD). Customers can book this model for 2,000 yuan (280 USD). As previously mentioned, the 2025 model year Courage became 22% more expensive than the 2024 model year.
However, Lu Fang underlined that vehicles with similar equipment and functions cost over 249,900 yuan (34,810 USD). The updated Voyah Courage will enter the domestic market this year. More on this model as we get it.
