The Avatr Vision Xpectra concept car was revealed at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. This vehicle emphasizes the future development of the Changan-owned high-end brand. It has a 5.8-meter body, a glass cabin, and back-hinged rear doors.
Avatr is a high-end joint brand owned by Changan and CATL. Huawei acts as a key parts and operating system supplier without holding any share in this joint venture. The first Avatr-branded model entered China in 2022. Nowadays, its model line comprises four cars: the 11 fastback crossover, the 12 liftback, the 07 SUV, and the 06 sedan.

According to China EV DataTracker, Avatr’s cumulative deliveries reached 140,787 vehicles domestically. By the end of 2030, Avatr plans to significantly broaden its model line by launching 17 new products. The Vision Xpectra concept car shown in Munich became the reference point for the upcoming cars.
More on Avatr Vision Xpectra
The Vision Xpectra is a large four-seat car with a slender body. It follows a design language called “The Energy Force”. Core features of this vehicle’s exterior include clean body panels, wide sculpted fenders, and a large glass cabin. The front end of the concept car adopts signature two-storey lights and a large air intake. It also has a bonnet-mounted badge.

Another highlight of the Avatr Vision Xpectra is the absence of door handles. It has no B-pillars, which is a common feature for concept cars, as they aren’t required to meet safety and structural stiffness requirements. Back-hinged rear doors create a large opening for easy entry into the car. Inside, the Avatr Vision Xpectra has four seats and lots of ambient lighting.
The center console of this concept car has an element called “the Vortex”. It is an AI-powered object that aims to “form a deep emotional connection” with the driver through advanced ambient lighting tech. A transparent wide display sits under the Vortex. The center tunnel of the Vision Xpectra adopts a single control element that adapts to touch and gesture controls. Other highlights of the car’s interior include dynamic lamellas and sculpted seats.

The Avatr Vision Xpectra is a giant car with dimensions of 5843/2132/1405 mm. Its wheelbase stretches to 3,450 mm. For clarity, it is 81 mm longer than the Rolls-Royce Phantom with a standard wheelbase. There is no information about the powertrain. However, modern Avatr-branded cars offer EREV and BEV variants. The Vision Xpectra won’t be mass-produced for obvious reasons. However, it sets the direction of development for the future Avatr cars.
