Denza, a premium brand under BYD, has officially unveiled the interior of its upcoming N8L SUV. The model will open for pre-sale on September 26, according to Denza Auto General Manager Li Hui, who shared an image of the vehicle on social media.

The Denza N8L is positioned as a six-seat large SUV, adopting a 2+2+2 layout. The front and middle row seats offer multiple adjustment options, with the second row featuring individual armrests and optional leg rests. The third row provides comparatively smaller space but is expected to support heating functions. Denza highlights features such as a rear control screen, manual sunshades, and an onboard refrigerator. The front passenger seat is anticipated to include a “zero-gravity” function, similar to the Denza N9.

Denza N8L goes on pre-sale on September 26.

The dashboard follows a symmetrical design and includes a fully digital instrument panel, a passenger entertainment screen, and a large floating central display. The steering wheel adopts a dual-spoke design, and the gear selector is mounted on the steering column. Additional details include wireless phone charging, covered cup holders, and storage compartments.

On the exterior, the N8L continues the brand’s family design language. It features parallel daytime running lights arranged in a vertical layout, a trapezoidal front grille with active air intake, and hidden door handles. The side profile emphasises a floating roof effect with blacked-out B, C, and D pillars, while the rear incorporates trapezoidal elements within the taillight clusters. Recent regulatory filings also show new options, including two-tone paint schemes, black semi-enclosed wheels, and differently colored brake callipers.

In terms of dimensions, the standard model measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm. A variant equipped with BYD’s “Lingyuan” drone system will have an increased height of 1,990 mm, while other dimensions remain unchanged.

Powertrain details confirm a plug-in hybrid setup combining a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with three electric motors. The engine produces 152 kW, while the front motor delivers 200 kW and the two rear motors provide up to 240 kW each. A 46.99 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery enables a pure electric driving range of 170 km for the standard model and 160 km for the drone-equipped version, based on official certification data.

Market expectations suggest that the Denza N8L could be priced in the 350,000 to 400,000 yuan range, which is about 49,200 to 56,200 USD. This positions it against models such as the Li Auto L8, Aito M8 Extended Range, and Wey Lanshan.
