Xpeng adds EREV variant to its P7+ sedan lineup
Xpeng is introducing a range-extender (EREV) variant to its P7+ lineup. The new car continues the overall design of the current BEV variant, while the body length is increased by 15 mm to 5071 mm.

For reference, the BEV is priced between 186,800 and 208,800 yuan (26,200 to 29,300 USD), available in 615 km, 685 km, and 725 km CLTC ranges, and boasts a drag coefficient of 0.206 Cd.
As of the end of September, the cumulative deliveries of the Xpeng P7+ have exceeded 77,000 units. The model has also topped the sales charts in the 150,000 to 200,000 yuan (21,000 to 28,100 USD) mid-to-large electric sedan segment for 10 consecutive months on the Chinese market, according to official data.

The EREV’s appearance remains largely unchanged from the BEV. The closed front face continues to feature a through-type light strip and a slightly larger lower grille to account for the range-extender engine heat dissipation. The lower grille can also automatically close or open.

In the rear, a double-layer tail design continues to be present along with the through-type light strip.

Furthermore, the “POWER” and “ULTRA” tail logos have been added, which are expected to represent the existence of an EREV system and three Turing AI chips self-developed by Xpeng onboard the vehicle, respectively.
The powertrain consists of a 1.5T engine as the range extender that outputs a maximum power of 110 kWh (148 hp) and an electric motor that outputs 180 kW (241 hp), paired with lithium iron phosphate battery. The vehicle has a top speed of 200 km/h. The detailed battery capacity and range specifications are still pending the official announcement.
At the same time, a new rim style is introduced, combined with 235/55 R19 and 255/45 R20 tires. In comparison, the BEV runs on either 235/60 R18 or 245/45 R20 tires.
Dimensionally, the EREV measures 5071/1937/1512 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 3000 mm, which is 15 mm longer than the BEV variant.
